Pointeks is a tennis results app for iPhone, with a companion website at pointeks.com. It is operated by Pavla Pechovicova, Krizikova 710/30, 186 00 Praha 8, Czech Republic (“we”). This policy explains what we store about you when you use the app, why, and what you can do about it.
What we store
Your account. You sign in with your Apple ID. Apple gives us a stable identifier for your account, the email address you chose to share (which may be Apple’s private relay address) and, on first sign-in only, the name you chose to share. We use these to create and recognise your account and to answer you if you write to us.
Your sessions. For each device you sign in on we keep a session record with the time of sign-in, the last time it was used, its IP address and the device type. You can see and revoke these under Account → Devices & Sessions in the app.
Your subscription. If you subscribe, Apple handles the payment. We never see your card or bank details. We store the subscription record Apple sends us: the product, its status, renewal date and Apple’s transaction identifiers, so the app can tell whether you are subscribed.
What you do in the app. The players you follow, the notification settings for each of them, the tournaments and matches you pin, and any private notes you write about players. Notes are visible only to you.
Push notifications. If you allow notifications, we store the device token Apple issues so we can send you alerts about the players you follow. Turn notifications off in the app or in iOS Settings and the token is no longer used.
Bug reports. If you send a bug report from the app we receive the text you wrote, a screenshot of the screen you reported from, the app and iOS versions, your device model and language, and which match or tournament was on screen, so we can reproduce the problem. We may reply to the email address on your account.
Usage. We record when your account was last active. We do not run advertising, analytics or tracking software in the app, and we do not sell or share your data for advertising.
Where it lives and who sees it
Your data is stored on servers in the European Union. It is processed by Apple (sign-in, payments and push notification delivery), by our hosting provider, and by the email service we use to send account emails. Match, draw and ranking data in the app comes from third-party sports data providers and is not personal data about you.
How long we keep it
Your account data is kept while your account exists. A session expires 30 days after sign-in, or earlier when you revoke it. Subscription records are kept as long as we are required to for accounting.
When you delete your account (Account → Delete Account in the app) we delete your profile, sessions, push tokens, followed players, pins and notes, and we strip your name, email and screenshot from any bug reports you sent (the anonymous problem description stays). One thing is kept: a one-way hash of your Apple account identifier, together with the dates of your new-member free period. It cannot be turned back into your identity or linked to anything else we hold. We keep it so that the free period, which every Apple ID may receive once, is not granted again to the same Apple ID after deleting and re-creating an account.
Your rights
You can see and change most of your data in the app, revoke devices, and delete your account yourself. To ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or anything else about this policy, write to petr.luxa@gmail.com. If you are in the EU you also have the right to complain to your data-protection authority.
Children
Pointeks is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Junior players in results. The app shows tournament results, draws and rankings of tennis players, including junior players, as the tournament organisers publish them. If you are a player under 18, or the parent or guardian of one, you can ask us to withhold the player’s name from the app by writing to petr.luxa@gmail.com. We do so within 30 days; the player’s matches are then shown without a name, country or date of birth.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters we will show the new version here with a new date. See also our terms of use.
